Special pump set at Hamburg harbour
A nice example of a Pasman sand pump is located at the sludge depot at the Hamburg harbour. A remote control makes this system special. Skippers who approach the depot with their suction dredger, can contact the pumpunit over the internet. Then the pump is activated so it can heat up. Once arrived the skipper can directely pump the dredge and sludge from the ship to the depot. Pasman build the pump set, including control system and soundproof casing. It has a capacity of 3.000 m3 per hour at 5 bar.
